Quincy in the Queen City
Our furry littles also love exploring out and about the Queen City, and luckily for Charlotteans, there are many places that embrace having our four-legged kids around! I mean, let’s face it. Life is better with dogs around! So for the inside scoop on some of the city’s dog-friendly offerings, we turned to a local native who knows the ins-and-outs of the city–Quincy, the dog! Instagram’s @Crooked.Ear.Quincy is @Kaylbee87’s not-so-little furball who is a lab mix, busy doing doggy business, which includes going on long walks on urban greenways, hiking trails, and posing for adorable pics for his dog-mama. Llamas and vino, wine not?
Venture just about an hour and a half north of the Queen City into a town called East Bend and you’ll find llamas and miniature horses at Divine Llama Vineyards–did somebody just say spend an afternoon hanging out with llamas and drinking vinos? Sure, wine not?!? Part of the Yadkin Valley Appellation, DLV has sprawling vineyards and pastures were you can enjoy tasting wine and then roam around the property to see llamas, miniature horses, and a variety of chicken in their coop.

We discovered Lenny Boy Brewing Co. last fall, and to be honest, I was kind of bummed it took us so long to venture out to this little gem in the Gold District! With breweries popping up left and right all over the Queen City, Lenny Boy is definitely in our top three picks. Why, you say? Well, I’m glad you asked!
