Hey everyone, my sister said I MUST tell you guys about myself so here it is. My real name is Emmanuel, but since pharmacy school I’ve gone by Manny. My new found friends/classmates thought that Emmanuel was too long and too old sounding for someone in his 20’s and since then it has stuck.
I found myself in Charlotte shortly after graduating pharmacy school and currently work as an overnight pharmacist in the retail world pulling 7 days in a row. The reward for working so hard is having 7 days off, which allows me to enjoy everything that the Queen City has to offer!
The easiest way to describe what I enjoy doing on my days off is eat, drink, sleep, repeat. I would consider myself a fairly adventurous eater and would try anything at least once, but Asian and Italian cuisine are by far my favorites. Although I do enjoy the occasional local brew from any one of the city’s breweries, I am a cocktail guy and I’m excited that Charlotte is finally getting on board with the craft cocktail scene.
When I’m not eating or drinking, you can usually find me on the couch with my 4 year old husky named Herschel binge-watching something on Netflix. I listen to pretty much any genre of music except for country. However, if you glance at my current Spotify playlist you can be easily convinced that I’m still stuck in high school listening to 00s emo/pop punk. I enjoy the outdoors as long as its not too hot or there’s not too much pollen in the air, which is why the fall is by far my favorite season.
