#DoseofCLT: Charlotte Coffee Shops

Not that anyone ever really needs a reason to grab a cup of coffee, but tomorrow, September 29, is officially #NationalCoffeeDay. There are so many Charlotte coffee shops all over town and while a strong cup of Joe is great and all, a strong café game is also key these days. Luckily for the Queen City, the coffee scene has really developed over the past few years. We have passionate baristas crafting beverages with intention and spaces to inspire us whether we’re working solo, catching up with some friends, or collaborating with creatives over a project. So on this edition of #DoseofCLT, we are lining up our favorite local Charlotte coffee shops, and BONUS–we’ve got a list of #NationalCoffeeDay specials for you to enjoy!

If you live in Charlotte, there’s no way you don’t know about Amelie’s. We love that there’s a location in most neighborhoods now. We frequent the Park Road location for post-dinner coffees and desserts!

Basal Coffee: Love that you can enjoy the LaCa gallery next door! Dunx Coffee at Blackhawk Hardware: These guys introduced us to pour overs and truly enjoying REAL coffee! Coco and the Director: Our choice for post-dinner drinks and desserts whenever in the Uptown area–ALWAYS order one of Sugarrmann’s cronuts.

Suffolk Punch and Roots Cafe: We love both places for their brunch offerings! Parliament: Great pit stop in Uptown if you need to fuel up. Lincoln’s Haberdashery: So much to love about this place–click here to read a previous #DoseofCLT blog post for a day itinerary in the Historic South End area!

Not Just Coffee: What’s not to love about the Not Just Coffee shops all over town. (We also love the 7th Street location but somehow didn’t have a picture from there!) Our favorite is definitely the Dilworth location with their full cocktail and kitchen menu. Undercurrent Coffee: This Plaza Midwood ‘newcomer’ has really settled in well into this neighborhood and we just love meeting up here with friends! Waterbean Coffee: We’re so excited that they’re expanding throughout the city and they have moved into the Whitehall area in (very) south Charlotte as now they’re closer to us! Love their iced coffee and the nitro Thai tea!
