It’s Cinco de Mayo and here’s a quick and SMOKY margarita recipe for you to try out, courtesy of Shawn {the unofficial third member of CLT.Remedy}. We love this recipe because, unlike a classic lime margarita {which we’re not hating on and is definitely an oldie but a goodie for sure}, this is just a bit more complex and has more depth. If you want to step up your margarita game and your level up your home bar, make sure to add a bottle of Mezcal to your liquor line-up!
This recipe will make one standard margarita glass serving or could be split into two smaller coupe cocktail glasses–prettier to look at and would have been more totes #Instaworthy but since we are sticking to the Cinco de Mayo feels, we have it here in a large-and-in-charge marg glass!
Mezcal Pineapple Margs
2 ounces of Mezcal
1 ounce of Cointreau
8 ounces of pineapple juice {Trader Joe’s was what we had in the refrigerator: linked here for reference}
1 ounce of lime juice
Add all of the ingredients in the shaker and SHAKE! Then pour, serve and enjoy!
Other fun ways to serve this up:
1) Rim your glass–with the flavors in this, you can’t really go wrong with a salt or sugar rim.
2) Dress it up–garnish with a pineapple wedge or a thin, round slice of lime.

This Cocktail Corner by Shawn–best husband ever for having this cocktail ready at the door to drink after a long Saturday shift!
