Cocktail Corner: Eggs-citing Cocktails for Easter

The Easter Bunny may have the little kids anticipating Easter egg hunt activities but Manny has the adults covered with some eggs-citing cocktails you can easily whip up to entertain your family. Here are two light and fun cocktail recipes–quick and easy, too, except for all the shaking you’ll have to do to achieve the egg white foam. But! Make it a family activity by passing the shaker around and have everyone work their arm out for their drink! 🙂

Gin Fizz
1.5 ounce gin
1/4 ounce lemon juice
1/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 egg white
Add all of the ingredients in the shaker and SHAKE! Like, shake it like a Polaroid picture for at least 30 seconds. Then, add crushed ice and shake for another minute to get as much egg foam. Strained into an ice-filled glass and garnish!

Plantation Mango
1.5 ounce Plantation Pineapple Rum
1/2 ounce mango juice
1/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 egg white
Basically repeat the same steps as above with these ingredients. Voila!

This Cocktail Corner by Manny, pharmacist by night and amateur mixologist by day!

If you are unfamiliar with Chemist Spirits, which is the gin we chose to use for the Gin Fizz, they are a small distilling company located in Asheville.  Their American Traditional Gin with its bright citrus flavor lends itself perfectly to be used as a mixing booze.   Here are a few pictures of their growing distillery tasting room in South Slope, Asheville.  As pharmacists, we were definitely in love with this place!
