COCKTAIL CORNER: GINGERBREAD GIN FIZZ

Are we literally only 4️⃣ days away from saying goodbye to 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ and saying hello to 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣? Anyone else feels like this year has been the longest and yet also the fastest year ever? 🙆‍♀️📆🙆‍♂️

It’s been a doozy for sure and we definitely will have a bottle {or two} of bubbly 🍾🥂 to ‘celebrate’ within our little bubble 💞 but in case y’all want to SPICE things up a bit: here’s another cocktail from Manny, inspired by the #ginfizz QUEEN 🥚🤍💪👸 we love so much: @ashrbrown of @dotdotdotclt ⚫. Please don’t hate us, Ash, for telling everyone this: but you seriously make some of the best gin fizz we’ve had and we had to give you the SHOUTOUT!!! 😜😜😜

Ring in the #newyear with this fun and fizzy drink and tell us: what’s your 2021 NY resolution? 😉😘😜

🎆 GINGERBREAD GIN FIZZ 🎇
feat: @unknowncraftgingerale

2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz fall spice syrup*
1/2 oz heavy cream
1 fresh egg white
Unknown Ginger Ale, to top
Ground cinnamon/nutmeg for garnish

Add all ingredients except the ginger ale into a shaker and dry-shake (without ice) vigorously.

Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.

Strain into a Collins glass.

Use ginger ale to top the drink. Garnish with ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg.

*Fall Spice Syrup*
3 whole cinnamon sticks
1 whole nutmeg
2 whole star anise
2 tbsp crystalized ginger
2 cups sugar
2 cups water

Add water and sugar in a small pot on low heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Let steep for at least 30 mins or to desired flavor concentration. Strain syrup into storage container. {This was the same syrup from our fall cocktail: FALL SPICED MULE! Love that a syrup can be so versatile and used in multiple preps.}
